Defiance ETFs was founded with the goal of giving all investors precise exposure to the most transformative technology trends of time. We look beyond the broad tech sectors to identify truly disruptive developments - and then create ETFs focused on companies that are catalyzing change or best positioned to benefit from it. 


OUR TEAM

Matthew Bielski Chief Executive Officer

Matthew has devoted his career to asset allocation, derivatives and ETFs. He  is responsible for the development and distribution of Defiance ETFs products, as well as driving the overall firm strategy.

Before founding Defiance, he was a Senior Vice President, Head of Asset Allocation & ETF Distribution at Direxion ETFs. Matthew also worked at BlackRock as an Investment Management Associate and as a Portfolio Analyst on the ETF trading team at ProShares. Mathew holds FINRA Series 3, 7, 24, 62 and 63 licenses.

Assaf Regev President

Assaf is responsible for the operations of Defiance ETFs, where he executes on key strategic initiatives that further the firm’s mission to give all investors access to transformative technology trends.

Before founding Defiance, Assaf was a corporate attorney at an international firm, and represented private and publicly-traded companies on cross-border, corporate transactions. He also served as General Counsel and was on the executive team of Itamar Medical, a publicly-traded biomedical company.

Paul Dellaquila, CIMA®, CAIA Global Head of ETFs

Paul is responsible for distribution and product development.   Prior to joining Defiance, Paul was a leader of U.S. Wealth Advisory ETF distribution for BlackRock and was formally head of iShares Private Group sales desk. At BlackRock he had also been responsible for iShares ETF distribution efforts across the wirehouse, independent and private wealth channels and held senior roles overseeing BlackRock open end, SMA and iShares distribution for the wirehouse channel.
 
Paul currently holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®), and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations; in addition to the Series 7, 24, 51, 63, and 65 licenses.
